America's deadliest avalanche and one of the world's worst railroad accidents occurred 100 years ago on Stevens Pass, when two trains were swept off the track near Wellington and 96 people were killed. Gary Krist, author of The White Cascade, will recount the tragedy through photographs and heart-breaking tidbits during a slide show at the museum on March 3. He also will sign copies of his book, on sale at the Museum Store. View the museum's exhibit of photos and memorabilia from the Wellington Disaster an hour before Krist's talk, or anytime through April 24. When: Krist program Wednesday, March 3, 7 p.m.
