Ballet Theatre Northwest: "River Scenes"
Ballet evokes scenes from Columbia River history
Date: 4/16/2010 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Cost: TBA
Location: Performing Arts Center
123 North Wenatchee Avenue Wenatchee, Washington 98801
This ballet, created by Charles Bennett for the 1976 Bicentennial, evokes scenes along the Columbia River from Native American days to the early and mid 1900s. Visiting artists and local children will dance the original choreography, as a slide show of landscapes and historic people/events is projected onto a large screen in the background. Narration includes poetry by notable Washington state poets. "River Scenes" is presented Friday and Saturday, April 16 and 17 (including a Saturday matinee).
