February 11, 2010 Downtown Wenatchee—The Wenatchee Downtown Association (WDA) announces that Mark Hamilton, Jenny Pratt and Michael Teaney will join its board of directors starting April 1, 2010. Board nominations were submitted in January 2010, and the three candidates were confirmed by the WDA membership on February 11, 2010. Three new board members are elected each year, to three-year terms. The new board members are:
The Wenatchee Downtown Association is run by an all-volunteer, working board made up of people who are dedicated to maintaining a viable, economically solid downtown core. In addition, board members serve on one or more committees that the WDA facilitates in the areas of Design, Economic Restructuring and Promotion. “We are very excited to see these three individuals come on board,” said WDA executive Sarah Dempsey. “They bring a remarkable variety of talent and experience to downtown Wenatchee. The WDA is a non-profit organization that follows the Main Street Approach to downtown revitalization. January 5, 2010 Wenatchee Downtown Association Seeking Three New Board Members for 2010 - 2013 Roster The Wenatchee Downtown Association (WDA) announces that is seeking three new members to serve on its board of directors for the 2010 – 2013 term. Those interested should self-nominate in writing to the WDA office by January 29, 2010, along with a statement of purpose and qualifications. Elections for the board positions will take place by the WDA membership starting February 1, 2010, and the new board members will take office starting April 1, 2010. Board members must remain WDA members in good standing, attend one board meeting per month, and are asked to serve actively on one committee. In addition, officers are elected to one-year terms and will serve on the executive committee. “As a WDA member, serving on the board is one of the most effective ways to attain the kind of business environment you envision in downtown Wenatchee,” said Sarah Dempsey, WDA executive director. “While we appreciate our board members’ organizational skills such as finance, marketing and retail experience, the most important is simply passion and dedication to maintaining a vibrant downtown core.” The Wenatchee Downtown Association is run by an all-volunteer, working board made up of people who are dedicated to maintaining a viable, economically solid downtown core.
