NEW FURNITURE STORE TO OPEN IN
DOWNTOWN WENATCHEE
Columbia Furniture-Chelan-Wenatchee  

May 21, 2010, Chelan, Washington- Columbia Furniture, located in downtown Chelan, announces the expansion of its business to a new, second store in downtown Wenatchee. 

Operating in Chelan since 1995, Columbia Furniture has become a favorite for its broad range of merchandize and its beautiful showroom. The new store in Wenatchee will feature the same great style, ranging from contemporary to rustic-lodge furnishings and creative accessories. The new store will be located at the corner of Wenatchee Avenue and First Street.  

Owners Frants and Terrie Holm-Nielsen opened the original store in 1994 on a side street in Chelan, growing from an 800 square-foot space to a 6,000 square foot showroom. The business represents the fulfillment the American Dream for Frants Holm-Nielsen, who immigrated here from Denmark in 1984 to be with Terrie, now his wife of 25 years.  

“We are very excited to be joining the Wenatchee Downtown shopping district. Columbia Furniture has a different look and style compared to the other furniture stores in the area, and we already have a big Wenatchee following.  It just feels natural to open a second location here,” says Terrie. 

Frants Holm-Nielsen says “We are looking forward to opening and meeting all the great people of the Wenatchee area. Look for us sometime this August.”
