For Immediate Release:  Wenatchee Downtown Association Announces “Downtown is Looking Up Tour”

Downtown Wenatchee—The Wenatchee Downtown Association (WDA) announces its fourth annual “Downtown is Looking Up” tour, which is set to take place July 28.

The purpose of the tour is to showcase the available or creatively rehabbed spaces in downtown and to educate people on the historical value of these buildings.  At each stop on the tour, the buildings’ representatives will discuss both history and availability of spaces for those interested in potential investments.

“Downtown is Looking Up” is organized by the WDA’s Economic Restructuring committee.  Since last year’s tour, three of the available spaces shown are now occupied by new businesses.

The tour will start at Fuel Rockhouse & Bar at 3:30 p.m. on 212 S. Wenatchee Ave. and will end at the Wenatchee Valley YMCA during Chamber of Commerce’s Business After Hours on 217 Orondo St.  Stops in between include the Gentry, the Doré building, spaces above Lemolo and The Print Guys, and Jones & Jones Funeral Home.

The “Downtown is Looking Up” tour is open to the public, and those interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP by calling 509-662-0059.  The only recommendation from the WDA is to remember comfortable walking shoes.

The mission of the Wenatchee Downtown Association is to strengthen and enrich the downtown experience.
