1. Why downtown? Why did you choose to open your business in the downtown?
I have always wanted to open my own restaurant. When the opportunity came to buy this restaurant here in the downtown area, I saw my chance to see my dream come true. Being in downtown means I can be my own boss and provide for my family.
2. What makes your business unique?
We offer Pan Asian cuisine with an emphasis on Thai food. For example, our Thai Noodle Soup dish is something you won't find easily in the area. A lot of people are familiar with pho, but our soup has distinctly Thai-inspired flavors from my country. Most of our customers who give the soup a shot end up loving it! We really want to expand the menu at some point to have even more offerings!
3. What would you like people to know about you, your team, your story?
I have worked since I was just a little girl back in Thailand. I am no stranger to working hard for everything to my name. I came over to America without any English. I forced myself to learn how to speak by watching movies and TV shows. I had to adapt to a new culture and figure out how to navigate around here.
I have just given birth to my sixth child, I want my children to see that working hard for what you want in life is truly important. Starting and running your own business is difficult because I have to sacrifice a lot of mommy time, but I want to prove to my kids that it is all worth it if you never give up on your dream. Everything I do is for my family.
4. Address and Hours of Operation
104 N. Wenatchee Ave.
Monday to Saturday
11 a.m. - 3 p.m., 5 - 9 p.m. (opens at noon instead on Saturday).
5. Unique offerings that separate you from others?
Eventually, we want to stand out among the other Asian restaurants as something entirely different. At the very least, we believe our food is excellent quality for the price range that won't break the bank. We realize the restaurant has a ways to go in terms of looking more modern, but as the expression always says, "You can't judge a book by its cover."
Most of the customers who give us an opportunity often are pleasantly surprised by our downtown restaurant. We hope to see even more new guests in the future!

WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE MAKES YOUR BUSINESS UNIQUE IN DOWNTOWN?
What I think makes our business unique is that we are a bar that is open late at night, but I still believe fits into the "vibe" of downtown Wenatchee. What we hope is that we are able to do both, provide people with a late night hangout spot to have some drinks while still upholding the small town values, and respecting the history, of downtown Wenatchee.
WHAT’S SOMETHING THAT HAS SURPRISED YOU SINCE YOU HAVE OPENED IN THE DOWNTOWN?
It has surprised me how many people come talking to me about downtown Wenatchee. People in the community seem to have a genuine emotional investment into the direction of the city and specifically downtown. It has been encouraging how many people care and how similar everyone’s visions and hopes seem to be.
WHAT IS THE ONE THING YOU WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS?
I want people to know that although we are a wine bar, we have a little bit of something for everyone. It’s not just wine on our menu and we think we strive to create an environment that everyone will be comfortable with. Whether you're a wine drinker or not, whether its fancy date night or you just got off work, I think we have something for you to enjoy your experience.
WHY DOWNTOWN? WE KNOW YOU HAVE OPTIONS, WHAT MADE YOU PICK THE DOWNTOWN?
Being downtown provides an opportunity to be a part of a culture and community unique to downtown. We believe our long-term success will be tied to the growth of that culture around downtown and we are excited to be a part of it. The proximity of all the businesses in the area, plus Pybus, allows the opportunity to create a vibrant experience for retail, restaurant and bars alike.
